Mamelodi Sundowns defender Ricardo Nascimento has reportedly agreed to a new deal at Chloorkop.
The Brazilian centre-back, who joined Masandawana at the beginning of the 2016/17 football season has been an influential part of coach Pitso Mosimane plans, but following a serious injury which required the 30-year-old to go under the knife, he was subsequently not registered for the current season, and subsequently freed up their foreign quota.
There are reports now stating that the two parties have agreed to a new deal, it appears that all is still well between the former African champions and Nascimento.
According to reports in the local media, Nascimento has agreed to a new deal which will keep him at the Tshwane giants for the foreseeable future, but it still remains unclear how the central defender will feature in Mosimane’s side considering that have exhausted their foreign quota.
While the club is yet to make an official announcement, our source did attempt to gain clarity on the matter, but it proved futile as Sundowns spokesman Thulani Thuswa was unavailable for comment at the time of publishing.
