The Siya crew has been informed of the reason behind Kaizer Chiefs’ failed attempt at bringing Siphelele Ntshangase to Naturena.
It was confirmed to the Siya crew by the chairman of Baroka FC that Ntshangase’s move to Amakhosi from the Limpopo-based club has been called off, despite it being revealed that the two parties were close to concluding the deal.
Siya sources have since revealed that Chiefs were not willing to meet Baroka’s asking price for Ntshangase, which subsequently saw the deal fall through, as the Soweto giants were offering too little.
Indications are that Baroka could have been asking around R2 million and upwards for Ntshangase’s services, which comes with good reason after the Limpopo-based club paid around R2 million to land the player from Black Leopards in August last year.
As reported by the crew earlier, Ntshangase is heading to Bloemfontein Celtic in a swap deal, this according to the chairman of Baroka FC.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Celtic will look to conclude the Ntshangase deal, while also looking to come to an agreement with Chiefs about Kabelo Mahlasela’s transfer to Naturena.
