Mosimane says too early to celebrate the victory

Mamelodi Sundowns’ head coach, Pitso Mosimane says that Fadlu Davids is just being nice by saying that the Brazilians have already won the league title.

The Maritzburg United head coach had nothing but praise for Sundowns and Mosimane, before and after the Team of Choice’s previous 1-0 defeat to Masandawana in the Absa Premiership last month.

“Sundowns are the best team in the league by far, nobody will catch them. They have won the league already, it’s theirs. Yes, SuperSport can win their games in hand, but I still believe it’s Sundowns. They are by far the best team in the league, the best team in Africa,” Davids said last month.

However, speaking to the media after the game, Head Coach Mosimane maintained that despite Davids compliments to Sundowns, it is too early to hand the league title to the Brazilians.

“Fadlu is being nice to us man. They got to be very careful, he means, he is a good guy. He speaks from the heart you know, I know that. It’s a compliment, just manage it, you know,” Mosimane revealed.

“Yeah it’s too early, just manage it, don’t be all over the place. You know, when you have a 14, 15 point lead you can start saying it will be silly for us to lose the title.

“But when you have not come to there, it’s still early, we haven’t even done half, it’s still early,” he added.
