Kaizer Chiefs are keen on bringing Vincent Pule to Naturena in the current January transfer window, but Bidvest Wits want the player to see out his contract at the club.
It was reported last year in December that Chiefs were planning on tabling a pre-contract to Pule when he enters the final six months of his deal with Wits.
With Pule now in the final six months of his contract, Head Coach Gavin Hunt has previously admitted that the player has signed a pre-contract elsewhere, although maintained that the club wants the player to see out the remaining months on his Wits deal.
“I think he has been signed by a big club in South Africa. He’s not going to leave now but in June. I don’t want him to leave, but what can we do?”
However, it is yet to be revealed whether the player has put pen to paper on a pre-contract with Chiefs. Chiefs are believed to want to push for a January move for the player, despite Head Coach Hunt revealing that he wants to hold on to the player’s services for the second half of the season.
Should Amakhosi or any other interested suitor look to approach Wits for Pule in the current January transfer window, the Students could look to sell the player at a reduced fee rather than lose his services on a free at the end of his deal on June 30 this year.
