Platinum Stars are still looking to bolster their squad further as they seek to avoid Absa Premiership relegation, and have earmarked an Orlando Pirates attacker as a target. Dikwena have already snapped up Ayanda Gcaba from Pirates on loan for the remainder of the season, a move that was confirmed yesterday, and with the 31-year-old’s deal expiring later this year they could look to make his move permanent.
Now, according to Siya sources, Roger de Sa is trying to bring in a player that he knows very well, with Riyaad Norodien having made his way onto his wishlist before tomorrow night’s transfer deadline.
The Siya crew has been informed that Stars are hoping to try and formulate a loan deal that will see the 22-year-old attacker move to Phokeng until the end of the season, a move that could give him some much-needed game-time.
Norodien has only been given two starts by Milutin Sredojevic this season in the Absa Premiership, although was given 67 minutes in the 2-0 win over Platinum Stars over the weekend. It now remains to be seen whether Dikwena will be able to persuade Pirates to loan them another player, and whether they will be able to get in done in time to beat tomorrow’s deadline.
