Kaizer Chiefs’ search for a new goalkeeper is not over yet, although Oscarine Masuluke is no longer training with the club.
The 25-year-old shot-stopper was first spotted at Naturena earlier this month as he looked to try and impress head coach Steve Komphela, and land a contract with the Amakhosi.
Now though, almost a month later, the Siya crew has been informed that the former Baroka shot-stopper is no longer with the club as they prepare for their final game of the season.
Masuluke is currently a free agent following his exit from Baroka earlier this year, but due to the timing of the termination of his contract, he can only be registered again once the next transfer window gets underway.
Chiefs are on the hunt for a new goalkeeper to challenge Itumeleng Khune for the number one position as they prepare for the departure of Brilliant Khuzwayo when his contract expires in a few weeks’ time, and Masuluke is believed to be in the running.
The Puskas Award nominee has played 27 games in the Absa Premiership, and will be hoping that he did enough to impress Chiefs’ technical team even though Komphela has since resigned.
