Bidvest Wits have moved to secure the future of one of their former Kaizer Chiefs stars, with penning a new one-year deal at the club.
Keegan Ritchie joined Wits at the start of the year after he negotiated his exit from SuperSport United. He wasted no time as a free agent as he landed a short-term deal until the end of the season with an option to extend with The Students.
Wits have exercised their option on the 28-year-old, meaning that he will be looking to add to his appearances for the club once the 2018/19 campaign gets underway.
The former Chiefs and SuperSport United man played seven Absa Premiership games for Gavin Hunt since his move to Braamfontein, playing his role in helping them secure their top-flight status.
Meanwhile, the futures of players such as Bongani Khumalo, Daine Klate, Nazeer Allie, Eleazar Rodgers and others remain up in the air, with no confirmation as to whether they will be staying at the club or not.
