Giovanni Solinas thanked Amakhosi for a great performance.

Kaizer Chiefs head coach, Giovanni Solinas believes that his side has finally won over the fans.

Chiefs secured a 4-1 victory over Cape Town City on Saturday, making it their first league win of the 2018/19 season, with their fans coming out in numbers to support the team at the Cape Town Stadium.

Speaking after Amakhosi’s classy win against the Citizens, Solinas wholeheartedly thanked his players for the performance while also expressing gratitude to the supporters, adding that Chiefs’ 12th made all the difference to their performance on the day.

“Me, I want to thank my boys today, because they played very well, a great performance, everybody put the effort, everybody played well,” Solinas said after the game.

“I saw the solidarity, the spirit (of) the team, so I am very happy because our fans deserve this victory and it is for our fans because today our fans make the difference, they support us, they support the boys, the boys played very well because they feel they won the supporters, so me I want to thank the supporters, I want to thank my players for the great performance and the good result of the game today,” he added.
