
The January transfer window officially opened on Wednesday, lets takes a look at the player movements that could be happening at Mamelodi Sundowns.
Bidvest Wits hit the ground running on Tuesday when they confirmed that the signings of Brandon Petersen, Prince Nxumalo and Sinethemba Jantjie, all on pre-contracts and the trio is set to join up with the Clever Boys on June 30.
Sundowns are expected to get their business underway soon, with several players linked with a move to the club while others are facing the exit door.
Players linked with a move to Sundowns:
Thabo Mnyamane – Sundowns are keen on opening talks with SuperSport United in the coming weeks.
George Maluleka – Head Coach Pitso Mosimane believed to be an admirer of the player’s trade and Sundowns could look to approach Chiefs with an offer.
Siphesihle Ndlovu – It has been reported in the past weeks that Sundowns and Maritzburg agreed to a deal in principle for Ndlovu at the end of the season, however, Siya sources indicated that Masandawana could push for a January move for the player.
Edmilson Dove – It was reported in November last year that Sundowns have been showing interest in the Cape Town City left-back.
Luckyboy Mokoena – Sundowns are also believed to be showing interest in Highlands Park defender, Mokoena.
Players linked with an exit:
George Lebese, Thela Ngobeni, Aubrey Ngoma, Lucky Mohomi, Thokozani Sekotlong and Siyabonga Zulu have all been linked with moves away from Sundowns in the current January transfer window.
At this point, Coach Pitso Mosimane has only confirmed that Lebese will be exiting the club.
