Bafana Bafana have secured qualification to the 2019 AFCON

Bafana Bafana have secured qualification to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations as a brace from Percy Tau secure three points against Libya.
Bidvest Wits shot-stopper Darren Keet earned the nod in poles ahead of Ronwen Williams, while there were also starts for Innocent Maela and Thamsanqa Mkhize.
The hosts were the most threatening team in the early stages and Ahmad Benali tested Keet after just eight minutes with a strike from the edge of the box that took a nasty bounce at the near post, but the Bafana shot-stopper managed to keep it out.
Bafana had Keet to thank once again as Libya carved out another chance on 22 minutes through Ismaiel Sharadi who unleashed a snap-shot in the box, but Keet made a good save at point-blank range.
Themba Zwane had the first best chance for Stuart Baxter’s charges with six minutes remaining of the first stanza after curling a low shot from just outside the box, but Libya goalkeeper Mohamed Nashnuch produced a fine save, before Lebogang Mothiba volleyed over the crossbar two minutes later.
Four minutes into the second half, Percy Tau finally found the breakthrough for Bafana with an unstoppable left-footed shot that sailed into the top corner.
Keet went from hero to villain in the 64th minute after his trailing leg in the air caught Anis Saltou in the face and Libya were awarded a penalty, which was ultimately converted by Benali, 1-1.
After being denied what looked like a goal moments later, Tau settled the nerves for Bafana with another cracking strike into the far corner to restore the South Africans’ advantage.
Keet was at his best in the 76th minute as he denied Hamdou Elhouni the equaliser with a superb save to keep out the midfielder’s stinging effort from distance.
With two minutes remaining, Tau should have bagged a hat-trick after going one-on-one with Nashnush inside the box, but he guided his effort wide in the box.
Nevertheless, Bafana were disciplined at the back in the closing minutes and managed to hold on to clinch the three points, which seals second spot in the group.
