Indications from the camp of Mamelodi Sundowns are that there are no major worries regarding the condition of Sammy Seabi, following his injury during Wednesday night’s match against Chippa United.
The Brazilians drew 1-1 with the Chilli Boys in their match played at the Nelson Mandela Stadium, with coach Pitso Mosimane handing Seabi his first start in the team’s colours.
However, the former Polokwane City midfielder was replaced in the second half of the match by Tiyani Mabunda, after he picked up an injury.
According to insiders at Sundowns, Seabi’s injury is not too bad to keep him out of the team for long.
In their next match, Sundowns are scheduled to play against Bloemfontein Celtic in their quarter-final match at the Lucas Moripe Stadium this coming Saturday.
Mosimane speaks highly of Viera, as Seabi is known in football circles, with the former Bafana Bafana coach believing that the 24-year-old central midfielder will give the Brazilians options in their CAF Champions League campaign.
