SuperSport United take on Kaizer Chiefs this weekend, and they’ll be hoping to continue where they left off in their last couple of games…
The Glamour Boys have a 100% start to the 2019/20 season having seen off Highlands Park with a 3-2 victory and beaten Black Leopards 1-0, but now they go up against their toughest task of the campaign so far when they tackle Matsatsantsa on Saturday evening. Kaitano Tembo’s side bounced back brilliantly from their 2-0 defeat to SuperSport United on the opening day, beating Orlando Pirates in a shock 3-0 result before knocking Bidvest Wits out of the MTN8 with the same scoreline.
Bradley Grobler, who has a knack for scoring against Chiefs, has got three goals in his last two games, and will be itching to add to his tally against the Soweto giants as SuperSport look to make their claim for a spot at the top of the table.
It was a 1-1 draw the last time these two teams met back in March, but Chiefs got a 1-0 win in December and the month before in November after SuperSport had knocked them out of the MTN8 earlier in the season with a 2-2 draw and 1-0 victory – so it’s quite a mixed bag between the sides.
