Amakhosi , to make changes before transfer window shut

There’s now less than a week left before the transfer window slams shut, and Kaizer Chiefs may take a look at their squad to see who is surplus to requirements.

Ernst Middendorp has named 24 different players in his 18-man matchday squad so far, using 19 of them, and with last season’s injury woes now seemingly behind them, the German seems to have a good idea of which Glamour Boys he sees as being a key part of his plans.  Chiefs did release a number of players over the last few months after it became apparent that they weren’t part of Middendorp’s plans for the season, bringing in five new stars in an attempt to end their trophy drought.

Now, with the club sitting pretty at the top of the Absa Premiership, there are a handful of players who don’t appear to be in line to break into the starting XI any time soon. Given Thibedi, who is young and recovering from injury, could possibly do with a loan spell in order to get acclimatised to senior football, while the likes of Siphelele Ntshangase, Kabelo Mahlasela, Philani Zulu and Joseph Molangoane are all out of favour having not made a matchday squad so far this season.

Meanwhile, there has been talk of a termination for Yusuf Bunting after he returned from a loan spell with Highlands Park, and Letlhogonolo Mirwa is still waiting for his competitive Chiefs debut, despite signing at the start of last season.

Which players do you think Chiefs should try to loan out before Monday’s deadline?
