Serero’s start at Al Jazira did not go well

United Arab Emirates 

Thulani Serero’s start to life at Al Jazira did not go well as he netted an own goal in a 4-0 loss to Shabab Al Ahli on Saturday. Serero was handed his full debut after completing the move from Ajax, but he had a day to forget after netting through is own net in the 56th minute.

 Belgium 

Percy Tau lasted 70 minutes as Club Brugge were held to a 1-1 draw by KRC Genkk in the Pro League on Sunday afternoon. Brugge have now dropped points for a second successive game. In the second tier, Lyle Foster made his debut for Cercle Brugge, who fell to a 3-1 loss to Gent. Foster, who joined on loan from AS Monaco, was introduced on 66 minutes but was unable to help Brugge secure a favourable result.

 Portugal

 Luther Signh played the final 30 minutes for Moreirense, who registered 1-0 win over Portimonense in the Primeira Liga on Friday evening. 

France

 Bongani Zungu lasted 72 minutes as Amiens suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Tolouse on Saturday evening. Keagan Dolly came off the bench and featured for 13 minutes in Montpellier’s 1-0 loss away to Nantes on Saturday night. In Ligue 2, Lebogang Phiri played the full 90 minutes as Guingamp got back to winning ways after defeating Lorient 1-0 at Stade Yves Allainmat. On Sunday, Lebogang Mothiba returned to the starting line-up but only played the first half as Strasbourg drew 2-2 with AS Monaco. 

Netherlands 

Lars Veldwijk continues to make cameos from the bench as Sparta Rotterdam were thumped 4-1 by defending champions Ajax Amsterdam. Veldwijk, who has three goals to his name this season, was introduced on 65 minutes, with Dante Rigo making way
