Maritzburg v Baroka

Maritzburg United will be hoping to gather momentum after finally picking up their first win in the Absa Premiership, with the visit of Baroka FC on Wednesday evening 02 Octomber 2019 at Harry Gwala Stadium.

Kick off is at 19h30.

After going through the first five games of the season without a victory, the Team of Choice finally got their first three-points haul with a 1-0 win over Chippa United last Friday at home. As a result, Eric Tinkler’s troops moved away from the relegation zone and up to 13th on the table with five points from six matches.

Meanwhile, after a promising start to the season, Bakgaga could not build momentum after losing their second consecutive game with a 1-0 defeat against Kaizer Chiefs this past Saturday.

The defeat has seen Wedson Nyirenda’s charges drop down to 11th on the table, with eight points from seven matches.

In their meetings in the league last term, Bakgaga edged United 1-0 in the first round clash in December 2018, while the return tie ended in a 1-1 draw in Limpopo.
