Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lucky Mzizi is expecting the return of Kabelo Mahlasela to the Soweto giants at the end of the season.
Following his lack of regular game-time at Chiefs, Mahlasela was loaned to Polokwane City in January for the remiander of the 2019/20 season.
The midfielder had not played a single match under coach Ernst Middendorp at Amakhosi, before he was loaned by the log leaders.
Mzizi believes that it could be difficult for Amakhosi to part ways with Mahlasela, especially under the circumstances with their transfer ban from FIFA.
“If you remember there is a FIFA ban that Chiefs have to think of and I don’t think they can just release players. I doubt Chiefs will release any players under those circumstances. Also, I think there are players at the club that will have their contracts coming to an end,” Mzizi told the Siya crew.
Mahlasela, 29, had featured in six matches for Rise and Shine before the PSL break.
