Castro’s agent explained , why Castro regected North Africa for Amakhosi

Leonardo Castro rejected the chance for a move to North Africa for Kaizer Chiefs in 2018 and his agent has now explained the reason behind his decision.

The 30-year-old joined Chiefs from Mamelodi Sundowns in January 2018 after winning the Absa Premiership, Telkom Knockout, CAF Champions League and Super Cup over a three-year stint.

And despite attracting interest from the Botola Pro and Egyptian Premier League, he opted to remain in South Africa for a move to their domestic rivals in a reported R2-million transfer.

With 20 goals and nine assists in 68 games since his arrival, the Colombian has become an integral part of the current league leaders, whilst forming a formidable partnership up front with Samir Nurkovic.
