Komphela opened up about his tie with Amakhosi

Golden Arrows head coach, Steve Komphela opened up about the importance of a ‘process’ when working for one of the country’s big clubs.

Komphela left Kaizer Chiefs a few weeks before the conclusion of his third season at the helm of the Soweto giants and despite reaching two finals with Amakhosi during his first campaign in charge, the 52-year-old was unable to bring in any silverware to the club during his tenure.

However, having since moved on from the Soweto giants, Komphela was asked whether he would like to get another opportunity to coach one of the country’s big clubs again.

“Yes, but again, there must be a process. Legacies are not just about winning two or three trophies. When I got to Chiefs, if we had won the MTN8, you know how many matches we would have played? Four matches and you win a trophy,” Komphela explained.
