It was revealed this year that Matsatsantsa are currently in discussions with Siyabonga Nhlapho, Bongani Khumalo and Onismor Bhasera regarding new one-year extensions for the trio, with all of them due to see their contracts expire at the end of the current campaign.
It has now been confirmed that SuperSport have rewarded defender, Nhlapho, for his performances and have exercised the two-year option on Nhlapo’s contract keeping him at the club until at least 2023.
“I had a two year option on my contract which was exercised,” Nhlapo told the Siya crew.
The former Bidvest Wits and Jomo Cosmos man, who joined Kaitano Tembo’s side in 2017, has been a consistent performer this campaign making 26 appearances in all competitions.
Kaitano Tembo’s side have already done a bit of work in terms of transfers, having recently finalised new long-term contracts for one-club man Ronwen Williams and Aubrey Modiba after rejecting advances from Mamelodi Sundowns. They have also agreed a four-year pre-contract with Stellenbosch attacker, Iqraam Rayners, who will join the side next month.
Meanwhile the club haves confirmed that they have parted ways with the likes of Thabo Mnyamane, Thabo Qalinge, and Ndivhuwo Ravhuhali.
