Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer is pleased about new striker Jean-Marc Mundele Makusu’s arrival at the club.
Pirates announced signing the Democratic Republic of the Congo forward on Thursday amid on loan from AS Vita Club with an option to make the deal permanent, and speaking about the 28-year-old Zinnbauer said the highly rated player will help to improve the competition in the team.
“We are pleased to have Makusu join the team and we look forward to working with him. Our squad this year has every player in each position competing for a spot in the starting line-up and it will be no different to him. The healthy competition we have created will help get the best out of all our players,” said Zinnabuer, speaking on Pirates’ official website.
Makusu is expected to help the Buccaneers not only in the DStv Premiership but also in the CAF Confederation Cup with the experience he has in the continental competition which he brings from back home.
